While I waited for Myself

This body of work was born in a time when I felt untethered—each canvas a quiet witness to days spent patiently piecing myself back together. In the absence of certainty, I showed up in the studio, one mark at a time, trusting that through making I might rediscover who I was. These paintings carry the hum of that liminal space: hope braided with doubt, stillness pierced by urgency, and the steady pulse of self slowly re‑emerging. They are at once survival logs and love letters to a self I believed would one day return.

Through the simplicity of a monochromatic palette, ‘While I Waited for Myself,’ honours that patient commitment to process, the quiet courage of persistence, and the conviction that art can be both refuge and revelation.
